Tai O: Venice of Hong Kong

As I have said in my previous posts, this is my second date with my Mom as a tourist in Hong Kong. We bought a ticket to Ngong Ping 360 with an optional tour to Tai O, formerly known as Tanka Village and is popular to the tourists as the "Venice of Hong Kong" due to the villagers houses that were built on stilt called Pang uks.

The new steel bridge connecting the island to Pang uk houses.

The residents of Tai O are taking the tourists for a short boat tour and give them a chance to get a glimpse Chinese white dolphins. I am really grateful to see the White Dolphins because other groups who went for this tour weren't able to see it.

Waiting for dolphins to show up.

If you love seafood, this is a good place to visit because you'll find variety of seafood since Tai O is a fishing town.
